August 11 : Sushant Singh Rajput’s father KK Singh and sister alleged “murder” in their statement to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). Earlier in his FIR to Patna police, the late actor’s father had accused Rhea Chakraborty and five others of abetment to suicide.
According to a Times Now report, KK Singh and the late actor’s sister urged the CBI to look into it as a case of a murder and not as an abetment to suicide. According to media reports, evidences were allegedly destroyed. The central investigative agency recorded the statement of KK Singh and his family on Monday at the residence of his son-in-law OP Singh, who is the commissioner of Faridabad.
Meanwhile, Rhea’s plea on transferring the FIR filed in Patna to Mumbai will be heard in the Supreme Court today. Rhea also filed an affidavit seeking protection from alleged “media trial” against her in connection with the late actor’s death case. Rhea on Monday said in the affidavit that despite the open investigation of the case, the media has already depicted her as a convict.
Reacting to Rhea’s affidavit, the late star’s family lawyer Vikas Singh said, “If media wants to get to the truth how can anybody say that free speech should be curtailed? When Mumbai police called people from Bollywood and it was reported in the media, she didn't have problems. Only when media trial is coming to the truth she has problems,” Vikas Singh told ANI.
