August 26 : John Abraham and Aditi Rao Hydari have resumed shooting for Kaashvie Nair’s untitled film starring Arjun Kapoor and Rakul Preet Singh in the lead. The duo started shoot on August 24 at the Film City Studio in Mumbai. They will shoot for their part for a week during the indoor schedule.
Aditi will be seen romancing John, as she plays the younger version of Neena Gupta’s character in the film. Neena plays Arjun’s grandmother in the film that is set in 1947 around the time of India’s Independence. John is also a co-producer of the cross-border love story, along with Nikkhil Advani and Bhushan Kumar. The 10-day shoot schedule started on Monday with Aditi, John, Neena and Kanwaljit Singh, reports Mumbai Mirror.
The film is a love story starting in 1947 and continues till 2020, spanning over three generations. A parallel love story runs between Arjun and Rakul’s characters in the present day along with the forced break up between John and Aditi’s characters in 1947 following the Partition. John plays a sardar for the first time. After a week’s indoor shoot, John and Aditi will join the team for the outdoor shoot in October, it is reported.
The shooting for director Kaashvie’s debut film was halted due to the coronavirus pandemic in March. The shooting was almost complete when the lockdown struck.
