September 01 : Karan Johar, who has been missing from the social media after he was trolled over the nepotism issue, returned to his Instagram to share a piece of special information with netizens.

Taking to his Instagram handle, the filmmaker announced that he has written a children’s book inspired by his two munchkins, Yash, and Roohi. “Am excited to share something special with all of you....my first picture book for kids ....#thebigthoughtsoflittleLUV! Coming soon!!!!” wrote the director-producer. He also thanked his friend and author, Twinkle Khanna, for introducing him to Chiki Sarkar, the founder of the publishing house Juggernaut. The children’s book will be published by Juggernaut.

Karan also shared a video that featured photos of his twins. During the lockdown days, Karan shared fun video episodes titled ‘Lockdown with the Johars’, where he captured the fun and adorable things done by Yash and Roohi. The videos were extremely popular on Instagram.

The first-ever children’s book written by Karan is inspired by his twins and his experiences of parenting. The “charming and “funny” book delves into how the difference is imposed between girls and boys as they are brought up. Beautifully illustrated, the book tells the story of Luv and Kusha as they try to understand gender, and the ways boys and girls are treated differently.

Karan also shared the news on his Twitter handle. Among his friends who commented to it was his friend, Twinkle Khanna, who wrote: “Waiting for it K! Big hug.” While Malaika Arora wrote, “So lovely”, Amitabh Bachchan wrote, “Congratulations.”

On the work front, Karan’s bankrolled film, Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl, was recently released on Netflix in August this year.
