September 16 : After being diagnosed with lung cancer, Sanjay Dutt took a short break from work for his initial treatment. Later, he resumed work for two days to complete his pending work on Shamshera, directed by Karan Malhotra. Now, it is reported that the actor has taken a break for a family vacation.
Before the lockdown was announced, Sanjay’s wife Maanyata was in Dubai with their twin children Shahraan and Iqra. They couldn’t return to Mumbai due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and Sanjay was alone in the city. After Sanjay was diagnosed with cancer, Maanyata flew down to Mumbai to be with him as he underwent chemotherapy sessions, while the children stayed back in Dubai and are attending their classes from there.
After the chemotherapy sessions went well and the tests too were positive, the Munna Bhai M.B.B.S. actor decided to take a 10-day break for a family vacation in Dubai, as he wants to meet the children and have some ‘we-time’ with his family before he returns to Mumbai and starts work on KGF 2 and Bhuj: The Pride of India. Sanjay and Maanyata took a chartered flight to Dubai on Tuesday evening.
The actor has procured a five-year visa for USA for treatment. But due to the pandemic, he would decide when to go to USA for further treatment.
Last month, the actor was diagnosed with stage four lung cancer. Since then, the actor has undergone advanced tests at a private hospital in Bandra. He underwent chemotherapy in another hospital in Andheri.
On the work front, Sanjay has Bhuj: The Pride of India, Torbaaz, Prithviraj and KGF Chapter 2 in the pipeline, which are in various stages of completion.
