September 22 : After the box office debacle of Zero in 2018, Shah Rukh Khan took a break from acting. While he read scripts and waited for the right one, it is reported that he seems to have found some good scripts, and is ready to for the new projects. It is learnt that the actor has given his nod to three films.
The Dear Zindagi actor will start off with Siddharth Anand’s thriller film Pathan opposite Deepika Padukone, followed by Rajkumar Hirani’s social comedy. The third one is a commercial masala film with south filmmaker Atlee. In this film, Shah Rukh will play a double role, reports Mumbai Mirror. The report suggests that the actor will play the role of an investigative officer of a top agency as well as a most wanted criminal. The film will revolve around the conflict and confrontation of these two characters. Karan Johar will co-produce the film along with Shah Rukh. Currently, Atlee is working on the script with a team of writers.
Shah Rukh will soon resume work on Pathan co-starring John Abraham, who plays the antagonist. The film will be mostly shot in Mumbai, but one leg of it will be shot overseas, the report suggests. The film is likely to hit the screens at the later part of 2021 as shoot will continue till second half of the year.
After completing Pathan, SRK will shoot for Rajkumar Hirani’s social comedy. Hirani is also working on the script of the film that deals with immigration issues.
Shah Rukh is also reportedly in talks with the director duo Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK of the Go Goa Gone fame about an action thriller. The actor will also be seen in a special role in Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra, where he plays the role of a scientist.
