September 26 : Amid the current chaos in Bollywood with several actresses being interrogated by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in the drugs probe linked to Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case, Shah Rukh Khan’s daughter Suhana Khan shared a cryptic post on ‘misogyny’.
Taking to her Instagram story, Suhana wrote “Misogyny is not only conscious hate towards women, it’s also subconscious conditioned hateful behaviour towards women. You don’t have to consciously think you hate women but ask yourself why when a woman does something you feel more triggered than if it was done by a man.” In the new post, she also wrote “Double standards are scary.”

Suhana, who studies filmmaking in New York, is currently at home due to the coronavirus pandemic. Her post came at a time when actresses like Deepika Padukone, Sara Ali Khan, Rakul Preet Singh and Shraddha Kapoor have been summoned by the NCB for questioning in the drugs case. While a few Bollywood celebs are speaking about the issue and raising questions as to why only female actors are being targeted by the media in relation to the drugs controversies. Some are also blaming the government and the media for being focusing on the “soft targets” like the Bollywood celebs to divert the attention of the people from burning issues that the country is facing currently.
