October 12 : Even at the age of 78, Amitabh Bachchan is not only working for 12 hours a day but will shoot back to back for his upcoming films. The superstar is super busy as his hands are full for most of next year. While many young actors have still not resumed shoot, Big B has started shooting and dubbing for his films amid the coronavirus pandemic.
The busy star ringed in his 78th birthday on Sunday while shooting for the current season of the reality show, Kaun Banega Crorepati. After battling coronavirus for almost three weeks, Amitabh Bachchan resumed work on Kaun Banega Crorepati, and shoots from 9 am to 9 pm. He still doesn’t call it a day as he then goes to the recording studio for further work, a Mumbai Mirror report stated.
From November, the veteran actor will start shooting for his action fantasy film Brahmastra, directed by Ayan Mukerji, produced by Karan Johar, and starring Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt. Big B will work on some patchwork, and will shoot for a week, the report suggested. Brahmastra is a three-part action fantasy that also features Mouni Roy and Nagarjuna in important roles.
While the legend actor joined the cast of a yet-to-be-titled film starring Prabhas and Deepika Padukone, the actor will move on to the project after he completes another untitled project. Helmed by the Mahanati fame director Nag Ashwin, Prabhas’ sci-fi film is expected to roll in the summer of 2021.
After wrapping Nag Ashwin’s film, Big B will start work on Vikas Bahl’s comedy film that revolves around a funeral. A Mumbai Mirror report stated that the actor was in contact with the filmmaker throughout the lockdown and also had several script-reading sessions with the director.
In the last few months, Bachchan has also been dubbing for the film Jhund, which is a sports drama based on the life of Vijay Barse, the founder of NGO Slum Soccer. The film is directed by Nagraj Manjule. Big B has also been dubbing for Chehre, which is a mystery thriller directed by Rumi Jaffery and produced by Anand Pandit. The film also has Emraan Hashmi in an important role.
