October 20 : Shah Rukh Khan will end his two-year-long sabbatical as he is reportedly set to get back to work by kicking off shooting for Siddharth Anand's Pathan. The star will face the cameras by November-end.
Since early this year, there were buzz about the films Shah Rukh had signed and his enthusiastic fans have been speculating on which project King Khan would start work on to end his self-imposed sabbatical. The actor was also tight-lipped on this matter. SRK will start shoot for Pathan at Yash Raj Films studios in Andheri, according to a Mid-Day report. The actor was last seen in Zero in 2018, which was a debacle at the box office.
The action thriller also stars Deepika Padukone and John Abraham. Siddharth Anand has planned an extensive two-month long schedule with Shah Rukh, with a brief break to celebrate the New Year. Deepika and John will join Shah Rukh in January 2021, the Mid-Day report stated. John will play the antagonist and take on SRK in this revenge drama.
Siddharth's War was a super hit film in 2019. The director and the producer Aditya Chopra have planned to make Pathan a stylish revenge drama. The duo has also etched out dramatic action scenes featuring SRK and John. Action director Parvez Shaikh of War Brahmastra and Bell Bottom fame, has been roped in to design the thrilling action sequences.
Shah Rukh has been currently sported long hair and facial fuzz, which is reportedly his look for the upcoming action thriller. His stylish wardrode will be created by stylist Shaleena Nathani, and the actor will flaunt customised sunglasses as well, the report suggested.
Deepika and John will complete some other commitments before they join the Pathan unit. While Deepika is currently shooting in Goa for Shakun Batra’s next, she will next begin work on her film with Prabhas. John, on the other hand, will wrap up shootings of Satyameva Jayate 2 and Mumbai Saga.
