October 22 : Pocket-friendly phone Gionee F8 Neo has been launched in India today at only Rs. 5,499. From gesture support to face unlock, its features are quite impressive as compared to its price. The phone will be available across the company’s distribution network in partnership with Udaan. This means more than 2 lakh mobile phone retailers will sell the new Gionee phone across the country.
Gionee made a comeback in the Indian market after almost a year when it had launched Gionee Max. Gionee’s Indian arm was taken over by the Jaina Group, which is Karbonn Mobile’s holding entity.
Available in black, blue, and red colours, the single variant of Gionee F8 Neo with 2GB RAM and 32GB storage is priced at Rs. 5,499 in India.
The Gionee F8 Neo sports a 5.45-inch HD+ (720 x 1,440 pixels) display with an 18:9 aspect ratio. The phone runs on Android 10, and it is powered by an octa-core Unisoc SC9863 SoC, along with 2GB of RAM. The smartphone has 32GB of onboard storage that can be expanded up to 256 GB via microSD card.
The handset has an 8-megapixel camera sensor at the back that comes along with an LED flash. For selfies and video chats, the phone has a 5-megapixel camera sensor at the front, which also has an LED flash. The handset is pre-loaded with features such as face unlock, slow motion, panorama, night mode, time lapse, burst mode, QR code, face beauty and much more.
For connectivity, the phone has options like 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS/ A-GPS, Micro-USB, and a 3.5 mm headphone jack. The phone packs a 3,000 mAh battery, and has an eye comfort feature, which makes it easier to look at the screen or read in dim light.
