October 22 : Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol starrer Bollywood's iconic film 'Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge' recently clocked its 25th Anniversary and now the film is all set to re-release in theatres across the world, starting with Qatar and Saudi Arabia.

The official handle of Yash Raj Films dropped the confirmation about the same in two-part tweets. The first one read, “A timeless love story. Watch ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge’ in cinemas, 29th October in Qatar. #DDLJ25 @yrf @iamsrk @itsKajolD #AdityaChopra #YashChopra #AmrishPuri #FaridaJalal @AnupamPKher @sats45 @parmeetsethi @mandybedi #AchalaSachdev @himanishivpuri @poojaruparel @iJatinPandit @pandit_lalit #AnandBakshi”

The second Tweet read, “Raj & Simran’s epic love story ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge’ in cinemas, 29th October in Saudi Arabia. #DDLJ25”

As per the 25th Anniversary celebration plan, the film will be re-released across Germany, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, USA, UK, Canada, Mauritius, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, Norway, Sweden, Spain, Switzerland, Estonia, and Finland to begin with.

Written and directed by debutant Aditya Chopra, DDLJ shattered all box office records and is one of the biggest all-time blockbusters in the history of Hindi cinema. DDLJ went on to win every conceivable award it deserved, including the National Award for the Best Film for providing Popular and Wholesome Entertainment, and holds the unbroken record for the longest-running Hindi film of all time!

The film also starred Amrish Puri, Farida Jalal, Satish Shah, Achala Sachdev, Himani Shivpuri, Pooja Ruparel, Anupam Kher, Parmeet Sethi, Mandira Bedi, Anaita Shroff Adajania and Karan Johar.
