October 28 : Priyanka Chopra, who was currently celebrating her 20 years of being crowned Miss World 2000, is over the moon as she announced her next Hollywood film. The global icon will be a part of the English remake of the 2016 German film SMS Fur Dich.
Taking to social media, the Sky is Pink actress shared the news and revealed that she is honoured to co-star with Grammy-winner Celine Dion and actor Sam Heughan, who is popular for his role in the Netflix series Outlander. “So excited to kick start this amazing movie with such incredible people! Jim Strouse, Sam Heughan, Celine Dion. It’s my honour. Let’s gooooo!” the actress wrote, while she shared a Deadline article.
Helmed by Jim Strouse of Grace Is Gone and People Places Things fame, the film has been tentatively titled Text For You. PeeCee has been cast opposite Sam Heughan. The actress will play the character of a heartbroken woman, who has lost her fiancé. To ease the pain after tragically losing her lover, she sends romantic texts to his old cell number, which now belongs to a man who also suffers from a similar heartbreak. While the two meet and feel a connection, they cannot leave their past behind.
On the work front, Priyanka will be soon seen in the Netflix films The White Tiger, and We Can Be Heroes. She also has Russo Brother's Citadel, an untitled film with Mindy Kaling in her kitty. The actress is currently in Germany, and is reportedly shooting for Matrix 4. The actress has also announced a show with Nick Jonas for Amazon Prime Videos.
