October 29 : After wrapping up Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai recently in Mumbai, Salman Khan is all set to start shooting for Mahesh Manjrekar’s gangster drama Antim. Earlier, post Radhe, Salman was supposed to shoot for the third instalment of the Tiger franchise. But now, since the film will take some more time to roll, the Bharat actor has decided to go with Antim, instead, it is reported.
Salman, who plays a cop in Antim will start shoot in Mumbai from November 15, a Mumbai Mirror report stated. The film will be shot in a start to finish schedule at two locations—Mumbai and Karjat.
Antim is the Hindi adaptation of the Marathi gangster drama, Mulshi Pattern. Mahesh and Salman have decided to change the original a bit keeping in mind the Pan-India audience. Mahesh will now increase the action scenes between the cop and the gangster. The film also stars Salman’s brother-in-law Aayush Sharma, who will be seen as the gangster.
The report also mentioned that earlier the title of the film was Guns of North, which has now been changed to Antim. A source told Mumbai Mirror that a major portion of the film is set in a village, which will be created at a studio in Mumbai. Some of the action scenes featuring Salman will also be shot at a city studio.
In the earlier version of the film, Salman was cast in a cameo role. However, after several discussions with Mahesh and looking into a number of versions, the actor has okayed to play a prominent role in the film. Now his character is very important in the film.
Salman will shoot for Antim till January 2021, after which he will start work on the third instalment of the Tiger franchise.
