November 21 : Vicky Kaushal and Manushi Chhillar have started shooting for Vijay Krishna Acharya’s directorial comedy flick. The untitled film rolled on November 18 at a Mumbai Studio.
On Wednesday, Vicky shared a post along with a picture from his vanity van, wherein the actor was seen gearing up to start his makeup for day one of the shoot. The actor captioned the post as, “Shubh aarambh!”
In this first schedule, the film will be shot for 18 days, a Mumbai Mirror report stated. The film is being produced by Aditya Chopra’s Yash Raj Films. A source close to the developments told Mumbai Mirror that Vijay Krishna Acharya’s film is not being shot at Yash Raj Studios as it is been already blocked for Shah Rukh Khan’s film Pathan.
The comedy set in urban areas is a new genre for both Vicky and Manushi, who will share screen space for the first time. The makers of the film had previously said that they are excited about the fresh pair. The film speaks about equality and celebrates Indian culture’s unity in diversity. “It’s a frothy entertainer, with lots of laughs and a social message,” the source stated.
Manushi Chhillar will debut with Akshay Kumar’s historical film Prithviraj. She has wrapped up the film before starting the comedy flick with Vicky.
The Raazi actor is currently on a work spree, and his hands are full with films lined up for the next year. After Sardar Udham Singh, Vicky will start another patriotic film in 2021, a biopic on Field Marshall Sam Manekshaw, who was the Chief of the Army Staff of the Indian Army during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971. The actor will be once again directed by his Raazi director Meghna Gulzar. The film is produced by Ronnie Screwvala and written by Bhavani Iyer who had also written Raazi, and Shantanu Srivastava, who had penned Badhaai Ho.
