January 20 : Soon after wrapping Thalaivi, Kangana Ranaut had started shooting for Dhaakad in Bhopal, wherein she plays a fearless and fiery spy agent, Agent Agni. For the last few days, the makers of the film have been dropping first look posters of Kangana, Arjun Rampal, and Divya Dutt. While Arjun plays the antagonist in the film, Divya essays an evil master. 

Recently, Kangana had revealed through a post that the team of Dhaakad is doing night shift, and today, she took to her Twitter account and shared a video clip, wherein the team is seen partying as the Panga actress informed that on Tuesday night, the cast and crew celebrated Dhaakad’s  producer and Kangana’s good friend Sohail Maklai’s birthday. The actress also revealed that even she was not a successful actress, Sohail had been equally kind and gentle to her. “From last night, birthday party of our dearest most favourite Dhaakad producer @SohailMaklai who is a dear friend for more than a decade now, even when I was not successful he was equally gentle and kind. Thank you for the lovely night, wish you super duper blockbuster success,” the Queen actress tweeted. 

Recently, Kangana shared a poster from the film, wherein the actress was seen in a fiery avatar amidst a lot of bloodshed. Touted as India's first female led action thriller, Dhaakad, will release in theatres on October 1, 2021. It is helmed by Razneesh Ghai and produced by Sohail Maklai productions, Asylum films, and co-produced by Qyuki Digital Medi.

On the work front, Kangana has recently announced a new project, which is a sequel to Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi. The film, which is titled Manikarnika Returns: The Legend of Didda, is based on Didda, the warrior queen of Kashmir. 

Kangana will be next seen in Thalaivi, a biopic on former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and actor J Jayalalithaa. The movie is written by KV Vijayendra Prasad and Rajat Arora. Ranaut will next start shooting for Sarvesh Mewara’s Tejas, where she essays the role of an Indian Air Force pilot.
