January 21 : Ajay Devgn, Sidharth Malhotra, and Rakul Preet Singh have joined hands for Thank God, a film directed by Total Dhamaal director Indra Kumar. The film is going on the floors. The comedy is a remake of the Danish comedy Sorte Kuglar (What Goes Around) that was released 11 years ago.
Taking to his Instagram handle, Sidharth Malhotra shared two pictures from the muhurat ceremony, wherein the actor is seen holding the clapboard. Thank God revolves around a man who passes away in a car crash but gets another chance to live. “Excited for this new journey. #ThankGod for it. In Thank God, Ajay Devgn plays the role of God, and Sidharth essays the role of the man who plays a reality show in heaven. After winning the show, he is granted life again. Rakul plays his onscreen wife.
Earlier, the film was supposed to go on floors in September but due to Covid 19 pandamic, the project was delayed. In the meantime, Ajay had to wrap Maidan and some portions of Bhuj: The Pride of India. He also started shoot of MayDay. Finally, Thank God rolled today.
Sidharth Malhotra along with Markand Adhikari, Rudra Pandit, Anand Pandit, Ashok Thakeria, Bhushan Kumar, Indra Kumar, Balu Munnangi, Sunir Kheterpal, Deepak Mukut, Vinod Bhanushali, and Shiv Chanana were present. Balu Munnangi gave the first clap.
