March 02 : The makers of Kartik Aaryan starrer Dhamaka have dropped a teaser of the film today. Helmed by Ram Madhvani, the film showcases Kartik in a completely different avatar than those characters played by the actor in his films so far.
Taking to his Instagram handle, the Pati Patni Aur Woh actor shared the teaser and wrote, “Main hoon Arjun Pathak Jo bhi Kahunga Sach Kahunga #Dhamaka Coming soon, only on Netflix @AmrutaSubhash #VikasKumar @vishfulfilled @madhvaniram #RonnieScrewvala @amitamadhvani @rsvpmovies @officialrmfilms @netflix_in”
Kartik plays the role of a hard-hitting TV journalist who covered a bomb-blast incident in realtime. In the teaser, Kartik can be seen in an intense avatar, and his performance looks impressive. The overwhelming stressed he revealed through the short teaser will definitely blow the minds of his fans and followers as they have never seen the actor playing such a role before.
The actor can be seen as a stressed reporter as his lady boss played by Amrutha Subhash forces him to lie on television with a straight face. Finally, Kartik’s character can be seen getting a hold of himself as he continued with the reporting. He is seen repeating “Jo bhi kahunga, sach kahunga (I will only say the truth)” until Amruta says, “My star is back.”
The action thriller, a remake of the 2014 South Korean film The Terror Live, is bankrolled by Madhvani and his wife Amita in association with Ronnie Screwvala under RSVP Movies, Ram Madhvani Films, Lotte Cultureworks and Global Gate Entertainment.
The film went on the floors in December last year. In the same month, the actor shared the first look of his character Arjun Pathak in the film. The actor looked dashing with his long hair and a pair of spectacles.
Despite the theatres now running on full capacity, Dhamaka is skipping a theatrical release and will be directly streamed on Netflix. The streaming date is yet to be announced.
