April 19 : Both Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor, who had tested positive for COVID-19, left for Maldives today, after they tested negative. On Monday morning, the couple was spotted at the Mumbai airport.
While Alia was seen in a yellow top teamed with a white jacket and white pants, Ranbir donned a white T-shirt and blue jeans. Both were seen wearing protective masks.
Alia and Ranbir are the latest Bollywood celebrities to leave for the beach destination. Recently, Janhvi Kapoor with her friends, and Madhuri Dixit with her family have returned from the beach island.
With Mumbai under lockdown-like situation, all film shoots have been halted. Ranbir and Alia found it the appropriate time to be away from the city and enjoy the mesmerising beauty of the island nation.
On Sunday, rumoured couple Disha Patani and Tiger Shroff also jetted off to the Maldives. Maharashtra curfew has led the celebs to leave the city as work has been temporarily stopped. While some celebs have headed for outdoor shoots, others are leaving for Maldives. On Sunday, Disha was spotted at the Mumbai airport while leaving for Maldives. Tiger and Disha were earlier in Maldives last year.
A day before, on Saturday, Sara Ali Khan along with mom Amrita Singh flew to the beach destination. They were also spotted at the Mumbai airport while heading for a flight to the Maldives. Sara has recently returned from a vacay in Kashmir. Shraddha Kapoor has also returned from the Maldives after her third trip in 2021.
While Alia was shooting for Gangubai Kathiawadi, she was diagnosed positive for COVID-19 earlier this month. Last week, the actress took to Instagram to announce that she had tested negative for the virus. Ranbir had tested positive in March and recovered after a few days. While Ranbir was down with the virus, Alia shared a post on social media and expressed how much she missed him.
