April 21 : Last year, Salman Khan couldn’t keep his promise and release his film on Eid due to the coronavirus lockdown. This forced him to break the tradition as his films always release on the festival day. This year, the actor promised to release Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai on Eid, but since the country is facing the second wave of COVID-19 pandemic, the makers of the film once again faced uncertainty about the release of the film on Eid, May 13.

Earlier, Salman had said that if the country goes under lockdown, the film release will be postponed. Later the makers considered releasing it on Bakri Eid. But now they have decided to release the action thriller on the big screen as promised on May 13, but there will be a twist to it.

Salman Khan and Zee have decided that they will opt for a hybrid release, which was followed by International Studio, Warner Brothers, when they released films like Wonder Woman and Kong vs Godzilla. Similarly, Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai will be release in the theatres as well as on the OTT platforms Zee Plex and ZEE5 on the same day, that is, May 13. The release on the OTT platform Zee Plex will be based on pay per view model. Salman fans will now have two options—to enjoy the movie in the theatres or in the cosy comfort of their homes.

Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai will release in over 40 countries in the pay per view model, and it will hit the silver screens in all the states of India where cinema halls will remain open.

This model will definitely help other producers who are ready with their films but cannot release them due to the current situation.

Directed by Prabhu Deva and produced by Salman Khan, Sohail Khan and Atul Agnihotri, the film stars Salman Khan, Disha Patani, Randeep Hooda, Jackie Shroff and Megha Akash. The film's trailer will be released tomorrow on April 22.
