May 06 : Neetu Kapoor, who was one of the popular child artists in the 1960s, took a trip down memory lane and shared a video clip from one of her films that featured her as a child artist. Taking to her Instagram handle, Neetu Kapoor shared a clip from her film Do Kaliyaan, which was released way back in 1968. Neetu Kapoor, as a child artist, played the role of twin sisters. Fans as well as several celebs reacted to the post, who found Neetu Kapoor very cute.
In the video clip, a little Neetu Kapoor can be seen singing Murga Murgi Pyar Se Dekhe as tears rolled down her face. She captioned the post as, “#dokaliyan thopoed (applied) a lot of make up though.”
As soon as the actor shared the post, several celebs including Alia Bhatt's mom Soni Razdan reacted to the throwback post. Fans showered the actress with love in the comments section. Neetu’s daughter Riddhima Kapoor Sahni wrote, “Cutest !!!!!!” Pakistani actor Mawra Hocane commented, “so cute Neetu aunty!! Samara gives the same expressions now! haha” to which she replied with a tears of joy emoji. Actor Anjana Sukhani said, “Omg so so so cute.”
Reacting to the post, Soni Razdan wrote, “Omg. You haven’t changed a bit you know! Cute then and now.” Saba Pataudi wrote, "My favourite movie Neetu aunty Do kaliyan.... addict back then lol ...stay safe.”
When a fan asked “may I know, how old are u this time? U look sooo cute...", Neetu replied, "8 years." Another fan wrote, "One of my favorite movie of yours watched it so many times." Yet another fan wrote, "omg ranbir definitely has more of your genes especially the eyes."
Neetu Singh Kapoor started her career at the age of 8 under the name Baby Sonia. In fact she debuted in 1966 with the film Suraj. In the same year, she also did the film Dus Lakh. Neetu Kapoor made her adult debut in 1973 with the film Rickshawala. Recently, the actress completed shooting for her forthcoming film Jug Jugg Jeeyo, directed by Raj Mehta.
