May 07 : Actor Shilpa Shetty has revealed that all her family members have tested positive for COVID-19. The actress took to social media and shared that for the last 10 days, she and her family have been going through a difficult time as her husband Raj Kundra, her parents-in-law, her mom Sunanda Shetty, as well as her kids--son Viaan and daughter Samisha have tested positive with the virus.
Shilpa, who has herself tested negative, said that all her family members are in home isolation in separate rooms. Taking to her Instagram handle, Shilpa shared a statement wherein she wrote. "The last 10 days have been difficult for us as a family. My parents-in-law, tested positive for COVID-19, followed by Samisha, Viaan-Raj, my mom and lastly Raj. They've all been in isolation in their rooms at home as per the official guidelines and have been following the doctor's advice. Two of our in-house staff members have also tested positive and they are being treated at a medical facility. By God's grace, everyone is on the road to recovery. My tests came back negative."
Shilpa further wrote, "Thank you for all your love & support. Please continue to keep all of us in your prayers. Please mask up, sanitise, stay safe and whether COVID positive or not... STILL stay POSITIVE, MENTALLY."
As soon as the actress shared the post, Bollywood celebs poured in good wishes and wished them speedy recovery. Kartik Aaryan, Varun Dhawan, Bhumi Pednekar, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, Madhuri Dixit and several others wished her family well and said they will keep them in their prayers.
Shilpa, who has been a judge of the television reality show Super Dancer, was recently replaced by Malaika Arora as the actress couldn’t leave her family and go to Daman where the set of the show has been shifted amidst lockdown in Maharashtra.
The actress has been actively spreading awareness about COVID-19 safety measures through her social media handles. Through her posts she expressed concern over the ongoing COVID pandemic, which started last year. Shilpa said, the situation continues to be worrisome.
