June 21 : Many Bollywood celebs including Priyanka Chopra, Yami Gautam, Kareena Kapoor, Sara Ali Khan, Karisma Kapoor remembered their fathers on Father’s Day on Sunday. However, Karan Johar wished his “babies” on the special day.
Karan posted two lovely Father’s Day wishes—one for his twins Yash Johar and Roohi Johar, and another for Alia Bhatt. Alia, who was launched in Bollywood by Karan in his 2012 film Student of the Year, has always considered him a father figure. Since then, Alai has worked in several of his production films. Off-screen as well, the duo share a close bond.
Sharing a lovely picture of himself with Alia on his Instagram stories, Karan penned an emotional caption and said that with Alia his beautiful beginning of being a parent had started. “My baby girl!! @AliaBhatt. My beautiful beginning of being a parent. Love you so much.”

Karan shared another post on his Instagram handle, wherein the filmmaker can be seen with Roohi and Yash in a swimming pool. In a heart-warming note, Karan wished to be a father and raise his children as individuals and not stereotype them by gender. “Blessed to be a father…. My endeavour is to raise them as individuals and never Stereotype them by gender … teach them inclusivity and humanity in equal measure… we are in a world that needs Conscious parenting and I aspire to be that parent…. Children are extremely impressionable so what we say around them truly matters! #happyfathersday to every understanding, supporting but never controlling father.”
Several celebrities like Neha Dhupia, Twinkle Khanna, Sophie Choudhry, Manish Malhotra loved Karan’s post and showered him with heart emojis. Wishing Karan on the special day, Neha Dhupia wrote, “Happy Father’s Day Karan ... I have seen you around them and they around you ... what you have is truly special .... all my love ... Karan , Yash , Roohi.”
Meanwhile, two days before Father’s Day, Karan launched Yash Johar Foundation in the name of his father. Sharing the news, Karan wrote, “This has been a true labor of love… created in memory of my incredible father and to carry forward his legacy. I am proud to launch the Yash Johar Foundation, which has been set up with the aim to improve the quality of life for people in the Indian entertainment industry. While we have initiated the implementation of long-term sustainable plans that will enhance the lives of people and their families in the industry, we have also ensured that immediate solutions are being provided to help them deal with the effects of the on-going global pandemic,” Karan wrote.
