July 22 : Anil Kapoor is known to be a fitness freak and it shows from the physique he has maintained. In a video clip he has shared on his Instagram profile, the actor can be seen defying his age as he runs across a track to cheer the Indian athletes in Olympics.
The opening ceremony of the Tokyo Olympic Games is scheduled on Friday night. Delayed by the Covid-19 pandemic, the ceremony will have no spectators as a measure to prevent the spread of the virus.
In a video clip the AK vs AK actor can be seen running across a track, and gradually gaining speed. Sharing the video ahead of Olympics opening ceremony in Japan, the actor wrote, “Sprinting back into action! #literally. So happy to be on the tracks again! Inspired by our Indian athletes in Tokyo who are making the whole country proud! #Cheer4India #Olympcis2021.📸 @marcyogimead.”
While fans were shocked to see the actor running on the track, one wrote, “Still young and fit.” Another wrote, “thats why legend said age is just a number, superb sir.” Choreographer and filmmaker Farah Khan Kunder also took to the comments section and wrote, “Papaji u should go to Tokyo.” Neil Nitin Mukesh commented, “BRILLIANT truly inspirational.” Anil’s Kapoor daughter, Sonam Kapoor wrote, “AK”, followed by a fire emoji.
On the work front, Anil Kapoor will next be seen in Raj Mehta directorial Jug Jugg Jeeyo alongside Varun Dhawan, Kiara Advani and Neetu Kapoor. The film is a romantic drama, and will also feature Prajakta Koli and Manish Paul.
