July 28 : Kangana Ranaut has always talked about her two most anticipated films—Thalaivi and Dhaakad. The actress plays two very different characters in these films, which demanded two different avatars altogether. While in Thalaivi she played late Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa, in Dhaakad she did a lot actions, for which she underwent several training sessions.
Kangana took to Instagram on Tuesday to thank her costume designers Sheetal Iqbal Sharma and Neeta Lulla, who have given the actress two completely different looks in her upcoming films Thalaivi and Dhaakad. The Panga actress shared two pictures that highlight her transformations to play late Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa in Thalaivi, and a leaner and toned look for an actioner in Dhaakad. Giving a glimpse of her transformations, Kangana appreciated the visions of the costume designers and wrote, “Journey like no other … #Thalaivi #Dhaakad Special mention to two visionaries and geniuses @neeta_lulla @mrsheetalsharma.”
Fans loved the pictures and were awestruck to see the transformations the actress went through. They reacted to her post with heart and fire emojis, and complimented her for fitting so well into the two different avatars with such elan.
Currently, Kangana is in Budapest shooting for the actioner Dhaakad. On the work front, her diary is full with some interesting upcoming projects. She has Thalaivi, Tejas, Dhaakad, and Emergency in her kitty. While Tejas is being produced by Ronnie Screwvala, Emergency is her home production, where she will play the role of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. She will also direct the film. Kangana is also awaiting the release of the Jayalalithaa biopic Thalaivi, which was pushed due to the second wave of the coronavirus pandemic in the country.
