While Aamir Khan had postponed his film by a year and had announced its new release date as Christmas 2021, Allu Arjun has now announced the release date of his pan-India film, Pushpa: Part 1, starring himself, as Christmas 2021 as well. With the announcement, the two much-awaited biggies will now clash at the box office.
Bollywood trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to Twitter to share the news today, as he wrote, "Aamir Khan-Allu Arjun: the big Christmas clash... With Pushpa: Part 1 - the pan-India film starring Allu Arjun - announcing Christmas 2021 release, the much-awaited biggie will now clash with Aamir Khan's Laal Singh Chaddha, also arriving on Christmas."
Taking to Twitter, Allu Arjun today announced the release of Pushpa by sharing a poster and wrote, "Pushpa - The Rise to release in five languages this Christmas." The film will release in five languages—Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi. Directed by Sukumar, the film also stars Rashmika Mandanna and Fahadh Faasil. Pushpa has been co-produced by Mythri Movie Makers and Muttamsetty Media.
Laal Singh Chaddha is the official Hindi remake of Tom Hanks' 1994 blockbuster Forrest Gump. Besides Aamir Khan, the film also stars Kareena Kapoor Khan, Mona Singh and Naga Chaitanya. Helmed by Advait Chandan, the film is backed by Aamir Khan Productions, Viacom18 Studios and Paramount Pictures. Laal Singh Chaddha is written by Atul Kulkarni.
