October 13 : Ranveer Singh will soon be seen on the small screen, hosting a quiz show, The Big Picture, on Colors channel. Even before he turned the quizmaster, Ranveer himself had to sit for a round of quiz based on his Instagram posts. In a recent promo dropped by Colors on Instagram, Ranveer was seen facing numerous questions about his Instagram posts.
In one of the questions, the Gully Boy actor was asked to identify a place where he and his wife, actor Deepika Padukone had visited. The picture was taken on their first wedding anniversary, when the couple had visited a temple. Ranveer was asked to name the temple. Even before he could answer, Ranveer said that if he fails to give the name of the temple, Deepika would just “hit” him when he goes back home. “I should know, obviously I should know otherwise I'll get a lappad (slap) when I get back home,” Ranveer said in Hindi.
The actor added, “Basically, Deepika and I thought we should do something special on our first anniversary. As you know, our life is similar to 2 States (Chetan Bhagat's novel). Her family is from Bengaluru, mine is from Mumbai. So we thought since it's our first anniversary, why don't we visit both places. So, we paid a visit to the Golden Temple in Amritsar and then visited the temple seen in the picture, which is Tirupati temple,” he said. After been able to answer rightly, Ranveer said, “Come on, husband of the century.”
Ranveer and Deepika tied the knot in November 2018 in an intimate wedding at the Villa del Balbianello in Lake Como, Italy. They took the vows in both, South Indian and Sindhi styles. Later, the couple hosted a star-studded reception in Mumbai.
Ranveer Singh will soon debut into the television industry with The Big Picture, which will premier very soon. The Padmaavat actor recently said that he was offered numerous TV shows in the last six years, but he chose Colors’ The Big Picture. "I've been receiving offers of various quiz formats for the last six years, but most of them weren't quite appealing. The unpredictability of the format of 'The Big Picture' is really exciting. When this opportunity was presented to me, I couldn't wait to get on board!"
