October 13 : While a few Bollywood personalities have come out in the open to support Shah Rukh Khan and his son Aryan, the stars of the industry are yet to come in the open with their support. However, Shatrughan Sinha, has come forward in support of Shah Rukh Khan. The veteran actor criticised the way Aryan Khan “is being used” in the cruise ship drug case.

Shatrughan Sinha said Aryan, who has been arrested on October 3 in a drug-related case, is being targeted because he is Shah Rukh Khan’s son. “We cannot say that it’s his religion that has come in the way, but some people have begun using that subject now, which is not right at all. Whoever is an Indian is the son of India and all are equal under our constitution. Shah Rukh is definitely the reason why the boy is being targeted. There are other names like Munmun Dhamecha and Arbaaz Merchant, but nobody is talking about them,” he told a leading news portal. The veteran actor added that some people are now playing with Aryan Khan because they have got a chance to settle scores with Shah Rukh Khan."

Shatrughan Sinha further said that some time back, Deepika Padukone was in focus in a similar case, though other names were also involved. Speaking about Bollywood not coming out to support the Khan family, Shatrughan Sinha said the film industry is a “bunch of scared folks”. Talking to ETimes, the legend said, “Nobody wants to come forward. Everyone thinks it's the other person’s problem and he should deal with it. They want the person to fight his own battle.”

Meanwhile, actress Geetika Vidya Ohlyanis, who played a cop in the crime drama film Soni in 2018, and had also appeared in Anubhav Sinha’s Thappad in 2020, recently reposted a message that read as, “He (Aryan Khan) did not sign a contract to be a role model for your children or society… cut the kid some slack!” Geetika, however, believes that Aryan’s arrest in the alleged cruise drug case has brought Bollywood together in support of Shah Rukh Khan. “Isn’t that a good thing? If not us, then who? If not now, then when?” she asked.
