December 03 : Kangana Ranaut today shared a series of videos on her Instagram stories and claimed that her car was attacked by a mob in Punjab.

In one of the videos, the Panga actress’ car can be seen surrounded by a large crowd who were heard shouting slogans like ‘murdabad (down with)’. Cops and security police are also seen trying to pacify the protesters.

In another video, Kangana narrated the incident and said, “I’m coming from Himachal as my flight got cancelled. As I entered Punjab, a mob has attacked my car… They are saying they are farmers.” She further said, “Woh khud ko kisaan keh rahe hai aur mujhpe attack kar rahe hai, gandi gaaliyaan de rahe hai, jaan se maar dene ki dhamki de rahe hai. Iss desh mein iss tarah ka mob lynching ho raha hai sare aam (They are calling themselves farmers and attacking me, abusing me and threatening to kill me. Mob lynching is taking place openly in our country).”

A visibly shaken Kangana repeatedly said ‘unbelievable’ in the video, while taking the camera around from inside the car and showed the crowd that has stopped her car and would not let her pass. The actress wondered what it would have happened if she had no security. “Itni saari police hai phir bhi meri gaadi ko nikalne nahi diya jaa raha hai. Kya main koi politician hoon? Koi party chalati hoon (There are so many police officers here but they are still not allowing my car to leave. Am I politician? Do I run a political party)? What is this behaviour? Unbelievable!” she said. The actress claimed in one of the video that people are using her name for political reasons. “Shame on these people,” she said.

In another video Kangana can be seen talking to a few women protesters from inside her car and shaking hands. She was heard saying that she had studied in Punjab. “Love conquers all. Everyone warned me against talking to them but I did,” she said. One elderly woman was heard telling Kangana to think before she speaks. “Jadd gall karni tan soch ke karni,” she said in Punjabi. Kangana replied to another woman in Punjabi, “I did not say anything about you, I spoke about those protesting at Shaheen Bagh.”

In yet another video, Kangana was seen relaxed as she was allowed to pass. She thanked her well-wishers, Punjab police and CRPF for getting her out of the situation safely. She said she was “completely safe” and managed to get out of the “sticky situation”.

Last month, after Prime Minister Narendra Modi had announced the repeal of the three farm laws, Kangana reacted to it and wrote on her Instagram stories, “Khalistani terrorists may be arm twisting the government today... But let's not forget one woman... The only woman prime minister ne inn ko apni jooti ke neeche crush kiya tha (the only woman PM who crushed them under her shoes). No matter how much suffering she caused to this nation... she crushed them like mosquitoes at the cost of her own life... Lekin desh k tukde nahi hone diye (but she did not let the nation get divided)."

The Sikh community took offence and the protest by the people was a reaction to her “objectionable” remarks.
