January 13 : Ajay Devgn, who has reportedly started shooting for the upcoming Hindi remake of Lokesh Kanagaraj’s Kaithi, which was released in 2019, visited Kerala’s Sabrimala temple after taking out some time from his shoot schedule. Photos from his visit surfaced online today. Reportedly, the film went on floors recently, and the actor took the pilgrimage amid the shoot.

Taking to his Instagram handle, Ajay Devgn shared a video clip, wherein he was seen dressed in black. Sharing the clip, the actor wrote, “Swamiye Saranam Ayyappa.” The caption is an indication that the actor is shooting in Kerala.

Reportedly, the actor undertook month-long rituals that pilgrims usually follow before he took up the Sabarimala pilgrimage. During this time, pilgrims take only vegetarian food and sleep on the floor. A portal has reported that for 11 days, the actor slept on a mat on the floor, wore black, did the Ayyappa puja twice a day, ate vegetarian food without garlic and onion, walked bare foot and didn’t use any perfume. Reportedly, the actor was accompanied by his cousins, Vikrant and Dharmendra, who had also followed the same rituals as the actor.

On the occasion of the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, which was celebrated across the country as the National Youth Day on Wednesday, Ajay Devgn wrote a long message to his youth self. He addressed his 20-year-old self, who had plunged into the acting industry with a lot of dreams. While writing the note to himself, the actor indirectly sent out the message, loud and clear, to all the youth out there, who are trying to make their dreams big. He shared a long note on his Instagram handle, and told his ‘20-year-old’ self that he will face some “brutal rejections”, “criticism and doubts”, which will make him question his dreams. But at the end of the day, he will realise that all were worth it, as “being yourself can be your greatest strength.”

In November last year, Ajay Devgn had completed 30 years in the film industry as his debut film Phool Aur Kaante had clocked three decades.

Ajay was recently seen in Rohit Shetty's Sooryavanshi which featured Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif in the leading roles. Ajay also announced Singham 3 recently, which is a part of Rohit Shetty's cop universe. The actor will be seen next in SS Rajamouli’s RRR starring Ram Charan Tej, Jr NTR and Alia Bhatt. The film, which was slated to release on January 7, 2022, has been postponed due to the surge in coronavirus pandemic. Ajay will also be seen in Thank God along with Rakul Preet Singh and Sidharth Malhotra. The actor also has Boney Kapoor's Maidaan in the pipeline, where he plays football coach Syed Abdul Rahim. Ajay will be seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Gangubai Kathiawadi with Alia Bhatt. The actor is directing himself and Amitabh Bachchan in Runway 34, earlier known as MayDay.
