April 24 : The ‘Girl of the Train’ is on the pathway of a fabulous Hindi remake. Though this plan came up about 2 years back, nothing substantial happened. For the Hindi version, it is believed that Parineeti Chopra will play the role that was carried out beautifully by Emily Blunt.
Recently, she took to Instagram and posted her comment: “Excited, nervous but honoured to be filling in the shoes of #EmilyBlunt for the hindi adaptation of “Girl on the Train”. Blessed reliance.entertainment#DREAMWORKSPICTURES @amblin “
Well, that would mean she has got a huge responsibility on her shoulders now. Earlier it was rumoured that the same role would be played by Jacqueline Fernandez, but somehow this seems to be the reality as of now.
The English movie had been made based on a Paula Hawkins' 2015 bestseller and now in Hindi language.
In the original English movie, Blunt had taken the role of an alcoholic divorcee who was based in London. It was a perfect psychological thriller and Emily Blunt had received the BAFTA and also the SAG nominations for the same. The character requires a delicate blend of emotion, dark and will have to pass on that eerie, edgy feel on to the viewers.
As of now, the Hindi version has not named anything, and will be directed by Ribhu Dasgupta and produced by Reliance and Amblin Entertainment. Parineeti Chopra’s most recent film was in Kesari and she played an outstanding supporting role in the film.
Parineeti Chopra has never worked on such different characters before, which will leave all viewers in speculation on how she is going to fare in this one.
