September 19 : Karan Johar made his stylish appearance at the star-studded IIFA Awards 2019 night yesterday. While he rubbed his shoulders with the B-Town’s who’s who, the producer-director turned quite a number of heads. He entertained the audience with his mind-blowing speech filled with gigs.
While his unique style and quirky outfits always grabbed the limelight, Karan was unafraid to experiment, and gave a damn to the impact of his fashion sense. Johar loved donning bold and outrageous outfits and accessories, raising the fashion bar quite high. He undoubtedly taught men the value of taking sartorial risks to another level.
The filmmaker walked down the green carpet with a lot of swag, putting up his own style level even higher. He took to his Instagram handle and treated his fans with a picture of him in the attire he had worn at the gala night. Karan opted for a power-packed all-black suit by Gaurav Gupta, which had detailed work on the shoulders. Styled by Nikita Jaisinghani and Kunal Gupta, he teamed his outfit with his trademark wide framed glasses and a silver chain with a pendant. While his fans loved his all-black look, Ranveer Singh commented, “Next level.”
Karan Johar was excited to have a conversation with Ma Anand Sheela, secretary of the late godman Bhagwan Rajneesh, who was popularly known as Osho. Karan shared the invitation of The Conversation on his Instagram and wrote, “Excited about this conversation with #maanandsheela !!! This one is poised to be a wild, wild conversation!” Ma Anand Sheela was Rajneesh’s personal secretary for five years and had contributed in the creation of the Rajneesh Commune and Rajneeshpuram. She recently came into the limelight due to the award-winning Netflix series Wild Wild Country, which talked about the story of Osho.
After years, Karan Johar wore the director’s hat and was directing his first period drama Takht. Karan said this film will be like K3G in the Mughal era. The film featured a multi-starrer cast including Alia Bhatt, Ranveer Singh, Kareena Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Vicky Kaushal, Janhvi Kapoor, and Bhumi Pednekar.
