October 17 : South Indian films are now witnessing a more experimental phase wherein film directors love to try their hands on new moods, new scenarios and completely out of the norm concepts in the reel world. The Malayalam film industry is going high at the moment, as Nivin Pauly and the entire team of ‘Moothon’ get to taste the first dollop of success at the Mumbai Film Festival tomorrow on October 18, 2019.
Actor Nivin Paul took to Instagram to announce ‘Happy to inform you all that #moothon will be the opening film at the prestigious @mumbaifilmfestival. The movie will be screened on Friday, October 18 at PVR ICON in Infinity Mall, Versova – Mumbai. See you all tomorrow!’ The actor could be seen donning the character, leaning on a table and lighting a lighter in a dazed mood. The film will be the first one to be opened out at the Mumbai Film Festival. It is one of the biggest art platforms for Indian films and surely will drill out a pathway for Nivin Pauly to be noticed in all film industries from now on.
Nivin Pauly is ‘Bhai’ and he plays an angry gangster role in the film. This is a Geetu Mohandas film and has been premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival. Apart from Geetu Mohandas, who was a famous Malayalam actress, a lot of others like Vinod Kumar, Anurag Kashyap, Alan Mc Alex, and Ajay G Rai have played a fundamental role in making the film take shape.
The trailer was released just a few days before and shows the rough and daring avatar of Nivin Pauly. He has always played a lover boy or Mama’s boy until now, and this reveals his brave side of acting too. The trailer reveals the scenario in Kamathipura and along with him, Sobhita Dhulipala plays the role of a prostitute. The star cast includes Roshan Mathew, Shashank Arora, Dileesh Pothan, Melissa Raju Thomas and many more.
The film showcases the wild journey of a 14-year-old boy who travels from Lakshadweep all the way to Mumbai to see his brother, Akbar (Nivin Pauly). The theme is all about violence, anti-social problems, gangster life, and certain heartbreaking scenes that could surely melt away the most stone-hearted soul in you.
