October 18 : Bollywood celebs observed Karwa Chauth with much gusto. Like every year, Anil Kapoor's wife Sunita Kapoor hosted a Karwa Chauth party, which was attended by Shilpa Shetty, Raveena Tandon, Mira Rajput and Padmini Kolhapure among others.
It was Priyanka Chopra's first Karwa Chauth celebration this year. The actress celebrated Karwa Chauth at a Jonas Brothers concert in Los Angeles. Priyanka was dressed in a red saree with gold border. She completed her look with sindoor and red bangles. She was seen hugging her husband Nick Jonas.
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan celebrated Karwa Chauth with mother-in-law Jaya Bachchan and sister-in-law Shweta. Sonali Bendre among others attended the Karwa Chauth party thrown by Jaya Bachchan. While Aishwarya was dressed in yellow, Jaya was wearing a light blue saree. Aaradhya was seen sitting next to her mother.
Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli also celebrated Karwa Chauth, fasting together for each other’s wellbeing. Anushka shared a picture on her Instagram and wrote, “My partner for lifetime & beyond and my fasting partner for the day”. Anushka looked beautiful in a red saree, which she paired with statement gold earrings, red chooda and sindoor.
Shilpa Shetty was all decked up and observed all rituals with husband Raj Kundra. Shilpa looked stunning in a blood red ruffled saree, which she paired with a designer red and gold blouse and traditional jewellery. Shilpa posted a bunch of pictures on her Instagram and wrote, “Thankyou @rajkundra9 for fasting with me every year.”
Raveena Tandon, who also celebrated the festival of love, shared some pictures, where she was seen doing rituals with her husband. She was donned in a red embroidered silk kurta and a Benarasi dupatta, which she paired with traditional jhumkas and gajara.
Sonali Bendre also posted a picture with husband Goldie Behl and wrote: “Moon spotting #KarwaChauth Jaya aunty.”
Bipasha shared two pictures with Karan Singh Grover and wrote: “Fast Followed By Feast.” Bipasha looked pretty in a white outfit, which she paired with big statement earrings and bangles.
Preity G Zinta, who celebrated Karwa Chauth, shared a picture with husband Gene Goodenough, and wrote: “I’m grateful to my better half for Indulging me... even though he doesn’t always understand our 1000 Indian traditions including Karwa Chauth.”
