October 18 : Bhumi Pednekar and Taapsee Pannu starrer Saand Ki Aankh is just seven days away from its release on October 25. Both the actors are busy promoting the film, which will clash with Akshay Kumar starrer Housefull 4 and Raj Kumaar Rao starrer Made in China.

Bhumi took to her Instagram handle and announced that the quirky song ‘Baby Gold’ has been released today. She captioned the post as, “#SaandKiAankh Koi kuch bhi kahe, koi kuch kare Arrey main toh hoon totally sold sold sold... #BabyGold Song Out Now!! #SaandKiAankh.” In the song, Bhumi and Taapsee are looking cool in ghagra-choli and oversized shades.

Earlier Bhumi posted a still from the song and wrote, “Hum hain Old, but humara aim hai sirf Gold.” Sung by Sona Mohapatra and Jyotica Tangri, and penned by Raj Shekhar, the music of the song is by Vishal Mishra.

The film was constantly in news as Bollywood was finding it difficult to accept two young actresses Bhumi and Taapsee in older characters. A debate has been on as to why young actresses are taken in older characters with prosthetic techniques and makeup? Recently, actress Neena Gupta said that Bollywood filmmakers are not considering senior actresses for roles of their age.

Currently, Bhumi is busy with three films in hand. While she is deep in Saand Ki Aankh promotions, she has just wrapped up shooting of Pati Patni Aur Woh, and closely planning promotions of Bala. The actress is working for 18 hours a day and this will continue for the next two weeks.

Bhumi’s five films will release in the next six months—Saand Ki Ankh, Bhoot-Part One, Bala, Pati Patni Aur Woh and Dolly Kitty Aur Woh Chamakte Sitaare. While she played a 19-year-old in Dolly Kitty..., she transformed herself into a 70-year-old in Saand Ki Aankh.
