November 11 : Akshay Kumar, who is basking in the glory of the success of his latest film Housefull 4, is a busy actor with several films queued up in 2020 leading into 2021. The actor took to his Instagram handle and shared the first look of his film Bell Bottom.
The Rowdy Rathore actor, who already had multiple releases in 2019, including Housefull 4, Mission Mangal and Kesari, while Good Newwz will release in December, will be busy shooting for his films Suryavanshi, Laxxmi Bomb, Prithviraj and Bachchan Pandey in 2020.
The Housefull 4 actor shared the first look poster from the film Bell Bottom and announced its release date to be January 22, 2021. “Get ready to go back to the 80’s and hop onto a roller-coaster spy ride, #BELLBOTTOM! Releasing on 22nd January, 2021,” the actor wrote.
To give a look of the 80’s, the first look poster is in reddish-brown colour, in which Akshay Kumar is looking dapper in a brown suit, dark shades and moustache. To make a mark of the 80’s era, the actor is seen wearing a bell bottom pants, which was a trend in the 80’s. While he leans on a red vintage car, a flight is seen taking off, giving the mystery vibes. From his look, it seems he is playing a retro millionaire.
Directed by Ranjit M Tewari and produced by Vashu Bhagnani of Pooja Entertainment, in collaboration with Monisha Advani and Nikkhil Advani, Bell Bottom looks like a spy thriller, which portrays one of India’s forgotten heroes. Based on true events, the story of the film is written by Aseem Arora and Pervez Shaikhand.
While some of his fans asked him if the film was a remake of a Kannada film, which was released in 2019, with one fan sharing the poster of the Kannada film, Akshay and his team insisted that the film has an original script and is based on true events.
