December 05 : Ranveer Singh is one of the most versatile actors in Bollywood today who sinks deep into the skin of his character- when he dons one. If the inspirational Kapil in 83, the fiery Khilji from Padmaavat and street rapper in Gully Boy kept you hooked to your seats, then Ranveer’s latest film Jayeshbhai Jordaar promises to be something that you would never have seen before.
He captioned the post hilariously, ‘ JAYESHBHAI hain ekdum JORDAAR!’ The look reveals that he had lost some serious amount of weight to fit into his character named Jayeshbhai. He plays the role of a simple Gujarati man. His hairstyle and shirt style represents a man of the ’80s and his eyes evoke the innocence in all its glory.
The poster also reveals many women standing behind him with their heads covered with lone veils in typical Gujarati style. The character Jayeshbhai is on a fight with a social cause- which involves the protection of women and also enables them to get empowered in life.
The film will be a Yash Raj Productions and we expect to see a wave of heroism to emerge from someone who looks that he is least likely to make a change in society. The script has been created by a new writer Divyang Thakkar and the movie will be bankrolled by Maneesh Sharma. The release date has not been finalized yet.
Ranveer recently mentioned that the character he plays is of a man who is kind in soul and strongly believes that men and women should hold equal rights when it comes to rules in society. The character is one that starts off on a weak note and then climbs up the behavioural ladder to be a strong man who fights for the women’s cause of equality. Till the Jordaar of Jayeshbhai appears in full swing, we can be all set to see his performance in another one of his films 83 which will release by April 10, 2020.
