December 06 : The year-end has been quite thrilling for actress Priyanka Chopra Jonas as she has received back to back awards. Soon after been honoured by UNICEF for her humanitarian contribution, The Sky is Pink star is now recognised at the 18th Marrakech International Film Festival on Thursday for her contribution to cinema.
An elated Priyanka Chopra took to her Instagram handle and thanked all for honouring her at the Marrakech Film Festival at Jemaa el Fna square. “To think that my career started nearly 20 years ago is surreal. I am honored and proud to be recognized tonight at the Marrakesh Film Festival. Thank you, truly, to everyone who came out to Jemaa el Fna square. #Gratitude. Thank you,” an emotional Priyanka wrote.
The Dil Dhadakne Do actress attended the event in her desi avatar and stunned the audiences present at the venue as well as her online fans and friends as she stepped out on the red carpet in a gorgeous saree. The diva posed for the shutterbugs in a sparkling saree with her award in her hand. Immediately after sharing a picture on her Instagram, fans and friends poured in their good wishes in the comments section. They also complimented her stunning saree look.
Priyanka, who dabbled in both western and Indian films, dazzled in the off-white embellished saree with gold and silver border. The diva accessorised her saree with an ornate gold necklace and styled her hair in a messy bun. The glamorous actress was honoured alongside Hollywood actor Robert Redford, Moroccan actress Mouna Fettou, and filmmaker Bertrand Tavernier.
Priyanka made her comeback in Indian films with the recent flick The Sky Is Pink. She will be next seen with Rajkummar Rao in a new project, and for her shoot she was in Delhi recently. The actress will also star in two Netflix films—The White Tiger, an adaptation of Aravind Adiga's novel; and Robert Rodriguez's superhero film We Can Be Heroes.
