December 11 : At director-producer Amritpal Singh Bindra’s nineties themed Bollywood party on Tuesday, Shweta Bachchan rolled the party mood reminding all about the 1990s superhit song Jumma chumma de de....
Shweta came in dressed like her father Amitabh Bachchan’s feisty character Tiger from the film Hum, released in 1991. Dressed in a black jacket and black jeans along with a loose and knotted white shirt and the signature red scarf, Shweta recreated the character Tiger, played by Amitabh Bachchan. Interestingly, she was style for by Amitabh Bachchan himself. Directed by Mukul Anand, the blockbuster film Hum was the second highest grossing Indian film of 1991 at the box office. Amitabh Bachchan, who retired from films for five years immediately after its release, bagged the Filmfare Best Actor Award for the film.
Sidharth Malhotra was also dressed like Amitabh Bachchan’s character Tiger from Hum at the fun-filled event. Shweta took to her Instagram handle and posted a picture from the event, where we can see Sidharth hugging Shweta and both twinning in black with the signature scarf. Sharing the picture, Shweta wrote, “What’s better than 1 TIGER? Two TIGERS!! No one I rather twin with than you @sidmalhotra #jummachummadede.”
Shweta Bachchan shared another picture on her Instagram while she posed as the character Tiger, played by her father. Shweta captioned the picture as “Reppin’ my main man. TIGERRRR #jummachummadede styled by @amitabhbachchan.”
Meanwhile, Neha Dhupia and husband Angad Bedi, who also attended Amritpal Singh Bindra’s birthday party, recreated the iconic Bollywood couple, Simran and Raj, from Aditya Chopra’s 1995 film Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge. Janhvi Kapoor came dressed like her late mother Sridevi in a yellow chiffon saree, recreating Sridevi’s Chandni character from the 1989 film Chandni.
