January 21 : Deepika Padukone, who received the Crystal Award for her leadership in raising mental health awareness, attended the World Economic Forum (WEF) 2020 in Davos-Klosters, Switzerland.
The Chhapaak actress, who herself suffered from depression, is open about her experience. Motivated by her own sufferings, Deepika has started a foundation to organise awareness programmes in Indian schools and fund free psychiatric treatment for children.
The actress attended the event in a classy long dress. She looked stunning in the blue ensemble that featured trails on both sides starting from the shoulders. The fish-cut dress hugged her body and enhanced her curves elegantly. She accessorised her look with blue stone and diamond danglers. While she opted for a classic hairdo, she opted for subtle nude tones of eyeshadow with mascara clad eyelashes and a nude lip colour.
Meanwhile, at the World Economic Forum, Deepika talked about her battle with depression. She urged people to understand depression and anxiety as any other illness, which can be treated.
