Agartala: A group of 18 girls who were rescued by the Bihar Police from a Buddhist School and Meditation Centre in Bodh Gaya; arrive in Agartala on Sept 14, 2018. According to the police, the girls, aged between 12 to 14 years, were sent to the school by their parents six months ago. Among the 18 children, 15 are from Tripura, two from Arunachal Pradesh and one from neighbouring Assam. According to Tripura Child Rights Commission Chairperson Nilima Ghosh,the girls who reached Tripura on Friday night, are now under the care of an NGO - Child Line - and would be sent back to their homes soon.
