GIZA, Oct. 2, 2016 - Al-Sayeh (R) treats a patient with the sting of a living bee in Giza Governorate, Egypt, Sept. 30, 2016. Al-Sayeh, together with her younger brother Ibrahim, has been treating patients free of charge with the stings of living bees, a practice known as apitherapy, in Giza Governorate for some 15 years. Apitherapy, which can date back to ancient Egypt, is a form of alternative treatment that has spread in recent decades to many countries to cure muscle problems, kidney failure and cancer.
