After restoring 14 water-bodies in 2019 first phase, EFI has turned to its second phase, of which many lakes in Ambattur are a part.

The Alasanatham Lake in Hosur was completely covered with water hyacinth and solid waste.The lake was taken up for restoration and has been transformed into a suitable habitat for several life forms and prepared for the approaching monsoons.

Today it stands as an example for what is possible when the community takes charge of its neighborhood natural habitats.Once a trash filled, weed infested, neglected water body Arasamara Pond at Villianoor in Puducherry was taken up for eco restoration by EFI.
