GUATEMALA CITY, Jan. 20, 2015 - Former Guatemalan police chief Pedro Garcia Arredondo stands trial in Guatemala City, capital of Guatemala, Jan. 19, 2015. According to local press, criminal court declared Pedro Garcia Arredondo guilty of various crimes, among which are murder, attempted murder and crimes against the duties of humanity, for his participation in the massacre of 37 people, including Vicente Menchu, father of indigenous activist Rigoberta Menchu, in Spain's Embassy in Guatemala on Jan. 31, 1980.
