KATHMANDU, Aug. 10, 2014 - Nepalese youths dive into the holy pond of the Hindu god of destruction during Janai Purnima Festival in Kathmandu, Nepal, Aug. 10, 2014. During the festival, people have the "Rakshya Bandhan" thread tied around the wrist. The yellow thread is purified by the chanting of Mantras by Brahmins as a symbol of protection from fear and disease.
