The United Nations (UN) in partnership with celebrities on Wednesday launched a new campaign, dubbed "Wild for Life", to re-invigorate the fight against illegal wildlife trade. According to latest UNEP statistics, illegal wildlife trade is worth up to 20 billion U.S. dollars annually, and is one of the largest illegal trades in the world, along with trafficking of drugs, arms, and humans. And an estimated 170 tonnes of ivory was illegally exported out of Africa from 2009 to 2014.
