VIENTIANE, Oct. 31, 2016 - People pray at Pha That Luang in Vientiane, capital of Laos, Oct. 31, 2016. Pha That Luang was undergoing reconstruction work as part of preparations for the upcoming That Luang festival. The restoration involves work to improve the main structure, paintwork, surrounding garden, drainage channels, electrical system and other features, notably the gold leaf to be placed on the top of the stupa. The upcoming That Luang festival is considered as the country's most important religious festival and Buddhist believers of Laos will gather in Vientiane to recieve blessings.
