TRIPOLI, Aug. 13, 2019 - A fighter of the UN-backed Government of National Accord (GNA) fires during clashes with the east-based Libyan National Army (LNA) at a frontline in Tripoli, Libya, on Aug. 13, 2019. Since early April, the UN-backed government has been engaged in a deadly armed conflict against the east-based army, which is trying to take over Tripoli and overthrow the government. The fighting so far left more than a thousand people killed, more than 5,700 others injured and more than 120,000 people forced to flee their homes, according to the World Health Organization (WHO).
