TRIPOLI, Sept. 2, 2019 - A fighter of the UN-backed Government of National Accord (GNA) fires at the east-based Libyan National Army (LNA) troops during clashes at the Al-Yarmouk frontline in Tripoli, Libya, on Sept. 2, 2019. The east-based army, led by General Khalifa Haftar, has launched a military operation since April to control Tripoli, the headquarters of the UN-backed government. The ongoing battles have killed 1,093 persons and wounded 6,000, according to the UN reports.
