MONTEVIDEO, Aug. 14, 2014 - Players of the Uruguayan national soccer team of blind people attend a training session in Montevideo, capital of Uruguay, Aug. 12, 2014. In 1986, the first soccer championship for blind people of B1 category (total blind) was played in Torrejon of Ardoz, Madrid, where 15 teams participated in the matches. In Uruguay, this kind of match was first played in 2008. Currently, only 12 blind people practice this sport in the country. As the only team that exists in Uruguay, they represent the Uruguayan national team in the international championships.
