GAZA CITY, Jan. 25, 2019 - Palestinian Mahdi Karira, 39, works inside his house on making of marionette in an attempt to promote the art of puppet theater, in Gaza City, on Jan. 22, 2019. Karira began to pay attention to marionette making eight years ago, driven by his love for the puppet theater of Egypt, such as Bouji and Tamtam, Sesame Street, and Operetta (Big Night). Karira explained that when the puppet is made, all joints must be movable by strings attached to a piece of wood at the top called the cross.
