SANTO DOMINGO, Aug. 1, 2014 - An employee of the Customs General Direction (DGA, for its acronym in Spanish), carries a seized liquor box, in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, on July 31, 2013. The DGA destroyed on Thursday 2000 boxes of whisky and alcoholic beverages, seized when being entered by contraband on national territory. The 2000 boxes, equivalent to 16,723.13 liters of different types of alcoholic beverages, with an approximate value of 11,793,331.76 dominican pesos, informed the engineer Fernando Fernandez, head of the DGA.
